MOOCnager - A Tool That Supports Self-Regulation of the Learners

MOOCnager is a tool that supports self-regulating learning strategies of participants enrolled in Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). In MOOCnager, you can set goals for the MOOCs you're enrolled at and organize your time. This may help the self-regulation of the learners (SRL).

MOOCnager helps the user to set his or her goals, to understand the difficulty of the objectives, and to get a better idea of his or her performance. Apart from that, the program has been designed to check whether the goals are realistic and met. The user will be able to check his or her attitude and level of performance, so they can self-evaluate.

MOOCnager has been designed as a plug-in for Google Chrome Browser. It is focused on the MOOCs on programming in Java offered by the Universidad Carlos III, in its Spanish and English versions. This plugin records student information regarding the courses where the user is registered, the set objectives and the student's self-assessment. In addition, the user's registration information is stored as well as the IP address from which he or she first connects.
